FAA Orders Fleet of Electric Trucks from ZAP
SANTA ROSA, California, August 13, 2009 – Electric vehicle pioneer ZAP (OTC BB: ZAAP) announced today the company has been awarded a contract to supply the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) with a fleet of its popular Zaptruck XL, a versatile 100% plug-in electric truck.
The FAA will take deliveries of the vehicles in September at a major metro center in the Midwest.
ZAP Secures up to $25 Million in New Financing.
SANTA ROSA, California (August 10, 2009) – Electric vehicle pioneer ZAP (OTC BB: ZAAP) announced today that it has secured up to $25 million in new financing with Cathaya Capital, L.P. With offices in Silicon Valley, Cathaya, L.P. is backed by financier Jacques de Chateauvieux’s Paris-based Jaccar Holdings and intends to manage the investment through its affiliate Better World International, Ltd.
ZAP will use a portion of the funding to pursue longer-term contract production and assembly commitments, and to accelerate deliveries of trucks and vans to fill current fleet and government orders.

SANTA ROSA, California (July 28, 2009) – Electric transportation pioneer ZAP (OTC BB: ZAAP) has taken delivery of larger-format polymer lithium-ion battery-equipped vehicles from Advanced Battery Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: ABAT). The company also plans to begin integrating other large-format lithium-ion batteries in its popular electric vehicles that are already in production as well as those under development.
ZAP Expands Fleet Shipments

SANTA ROSA, California, July 1, 2009 – Electric vehicle pioneer ZAP (OTC BB: ZAAP) announced today they have shipped a fleet of their Zaptruck XLs, a versatile 100% plug-in electric LSV, equipped with a Payload drop-in shell to Bexar County, San Antonio, Texas.
The vehicles will be used by a variety of county departments as they expand their "green initiative." Each truck is equipped with one of ZAP’s newest options – the versatile Payload shell providing a weatherproof, fully enclosed and lockable storage compartment.
ZAP Completes Made in USA Electric Pickup Engineering Project
