ZAP SEASCOOTER™ Rentals Reel-In Fun, Profits
SANTA ROSA, California (August 22, 2003) - Success stories about SEASCOOTER™ rentals are rippling through tourist destinations around the world, according to electric vehicle pioneer ZAP (OTC BB:ZAAP).
ZAP is attending the Bombardier Expo, August 23 - 29 in New Orleans to pitch the SEASCOOTER to more watercraft dealers and share their experience in renting the vehicles.
On the island of Maui in Hawaii, Blue Hawaiian Scuba & Water Sports Rentals of Kihei says the SEASCOOTER is making a splash. Their fleet of six SEASCOOTERS is renting out at $30 per hour.
"The SEASCOOTERS have paid for themselves many times over," says Steve at Blue Hawaiian. "Tourists and locals alike love renting them and once they do, they usually want to buy them and take them home to use in the swimming pool. Of course, one is never enough! I make people rent two because it's just like the buddy system in diving. In fact, swimmers have a hard time keeping up with the SEASCOOTER!"
The SEASCOOTER is opening up the world of dive scooters to more than just undersea explorers. Snorkelers and recreational divers can cover more area than fin-power alone, enabling them to see more fish and other underwater sights. Renters say they enjoy the relaxation of using the SEASCOOTER versus the effort involved in swimming out to dive spots. Less effort also means less respiration, so snorkelers can hold their breath longer and divers can conserve their air for more down time. Some love just using them in the pool. ZAP says it has delivered thousands of SEASCOOTERS since its introduction a year ago.
